Here is a splendid and legendary 35mm fully mechanical professional-grade analog SLR: the Nikon FM, introduced to the market by Nikon in 1977. This famous model, the progenitor of the very successful line of compacts in the FM/FE series, stands out for its legendary build robustness based on a body made of aluminum alloy and copper. Being a completely mechanical camera, it is capable of shooting at all shutter speeds even without battery assistance, which are used solely to power the precise internal LED three-diode light meter.

The lot is presented in good overall condition, well preserved as clearly documented by the photographs, and is tested and functional, complete with its original body cap.

Optics: In this lot the body alone is offered. The inner mirror box, the viewfinder with split-image rangefinder, and the mechanical contacts of the renowned Nikon F bayonet mount are clean and in good condition. The viewfinder is clear and ensures optimal framing.

Mechanical and Electronics: Tested and perfectly functioning. The fully manual mechanicals respond correctly and energetically: the film-advance lever is smooth, the shutter fires regularly at all speeds, and the front mechanical self-timer engages without hesitation. The circuits of the internal light meter respond correctly to changes in ambient light.

Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The classic chrome top cover and the metal back show slight and normal signs of use consistent with the age and handling of the vintage item. The black textured leatherette covering is intact, compact and free from peeling or chemical alterations.

Included in the lot are the Nikon FM Silver body, the original black plastic front body cap, and the two metal triangle rings with their plastic guards on the side slots for the shoulder strap.
