Case

The Flagship series belongs to Longines’ classic dress watch lines. This L4.799.3 has a round case of about 35.5–36 mm, giving the watch a traditional and relatively understated size.

The case is made of polished stainless steel and paired with a gold-coloured bezel. The stepped shape of the bezel gives the watch a clearly classic look and blends nicely with the gold-coloured portions of the bracelet.

In the supplied photos there are clear signs of wear, mainly on the gold-coloured bezel. It shows scattered superficial scratches and minor wear. The polished steel portions of the case also show light scratches consistent with normal use.

The case shape and lugs otherwise appear neatly preserved and there are no large dents or heavy damage visible.

Dial

The champagne-colour dial is a striking feature of this piece. The surface has a fine radial sunburst finish, causing the colour to vary from light champagne to a warmer gold depending on the light.

Below 12 o'clock is the LONGINES inscription and the well-known winged hourglass logo. Above 6 o'clock is AUTOMATIC.

Hour markers are diamond indexes in small square settings. At 12 o'clock there is a double diamond index, while the remaining hour positions – with the exception of the day/date window position – have individual diamond indexes.

The gold-colour hour and minute hands have a slim, classical form. A very thin central seconds hand completes the time indication.

At 3 o'clock is a combined day and date window. In the supplied photos the display shows TUE 24.

At the bottom of the dial is SWISS.

The dial itself looks generally very neat in the photos. There are no noticeable stains, heavy discolourations or damage.

The ETA 2836-2 forms the base of this Longines caliber and is an automatic movement with central seconds and combined day and date function.
The gold-coloured rotor provides a nice visual contrast with the otherwise silvery components of the movement.

The watch features both day and date indications.
Both functions are combined in one elongated window at 3 o'clock. The day indicator is on the left and the date on the right. In the photos the indicator shows TUE 24.

The crown is made of stainless steel and has a grooved outer edge for grip when setting the time, day, and date.
On the outer side LONGINES is engraved.

Bracelet

The watch is fitted with the original bi-colour Longines metal bracelet.
The bracelet consists of several narrow links combining polished stainless steel with gold-coloured centre links. This carries the two-tone design of case and bezel through to the entire bracelet.
The bracelet is equipped with an original integrated Longines butterfly/clasp. Both LONGINES and the winged hourglass logo are clearly present on the clasp.

Overall condition

With a case diameter of about 35.5–36 mm, it has the traditional size typical for classic Longines dress watches. The combination of polished stainless steel, gold-colour accents, diamond indexes and the champagne dial gives the watch a distinctly elegant appearance.
Cosmetically, this piece is, based on the provided photos, in neat used condition. Normal wear is present, with especially the gold bezel and some gold links showing clearer superficial scratches. The dial, diamond indexes and crystal, however, look very well cared for.
