This example is equipped with the automatic Longines caliber L651.3. The movement is visible through the transparent case back, and the rotor is clearly signed with “L651.3 LONGINES.” The caliber has 37 jewels and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Case

The round case is made of stainless steel and features a predominantly high-gloss polished finish. The classic form is combined with curved lug shoulders, giving the watch an elegant appearance despite the chronograph function.

On the right side is the ribbed crown, bearing the Longines signature. Above and below the crown are the two round pushers used to operate the chronograph.

The case appears in the photos in neat used condition. The high-gloss polished surfaces show light hairlines and normal superficial signs of wear appropriate to a worn watch.

Dial

The silver-white dial is one of the most characteristic features of this variant. The central area has a very fine guilloché structure that becomes clearly visible depending on light incidence.

The large black Arabic numerals provide strong contrast and give the watch a classic look. The dark blued feuille/hands complement this traditional design.

At 9 o’clock is the 30-minute chronograph counter. At 3 o’clock is the small seconds. Both subdials are recessed with a fine concentric finish.

The date window is at 6 o’clock and is framed. A detailed minute scale runs along the outer edge of the dial.

Under 12 o’clock are the Longines word mark and the winged hourglass. Above 6 o’clock is “AUTOMATIC,” with the inscription “SWISS MADE” at the bottom of the dial.

The dial is presented in the photos as exceptionally well cared for. The numerals, scales, registers and inscriptions look sharp and neat.

The L651.3 is visible through the transparent case back. The rotor clearly bears the designations “L651.3,” “LONGINES” and “SWISS 37 JEWELS.” For the L651.3, 37 jewels, 28,800 A/h and a power reserve around 42–44 hours are noted.

The chronograph has a central chronograph second and a 30-minute counter. The running seconds are displayed separately in the subdial at 3 o’clock.

These are very neat values for the performed measurement. The amplitude of 303 degrees is strong and the beat error of 0.0 ms is also positive.

A timegrapher reading is a snapshot in one position. The actual rate in daily use can vary due to position, temperature, wearing, and the winding state of the movement.

Case back

The case back is transparent, showing the automatic mechanical movement.

The rotor has a decorative finish and prominently bears the name LONGINES and the caliber designation L651.3. The inscription “SWISS 37 JEWELS” is also visible.

Around the display glass are engraved Longines markings, including “THE LONGINES MASTER COLLECTION,” “ALL STAINLESS STEEL” and information about water resistance.

The back shows light superficial scratches and normal signs of use, especially on the polished steel rim.

Crown and chronograph pushers

The ribbed crown bears the Longines signature and harmonizes well with the classic case design.

On either side of the crown are the two round polished chronograph pushers. They give the case a subtly sporty element without detracting from the dress-watch character of the Master Collection.

Band

The watch is equipped with a dark brown Longines leather band with an alligator texture and contrasting light stitching.

On the inside are the Longines logo, “ALLIGATOR LEATHER” and the size marking 20 visible.

The band shows clear signs of wear. Creasing and wear around the worn lugs and bending points is visible. This is cosmetic and consistent with normal use of a leather strap.

The original Longines deployant clasp is retained and shows the LONGINES word mark and winged hourglass logo on the outside.

Based on the supplied wrist-size photo, the watch currently fits a wrist circumference of approximately 19–20 cm, depending on which lug hole is used.

Overall condition

A beautiful and classic Longines Master Collection L2.669.4 automatic chronograph with silver-white guilloché dial, black Arabic numerals and characteristic blued hands.

The dial is visually the highlight of this piece. The fine texture, two recessed subdials and classic numerals give the watch a lot of detail, while the symmetrical layout and the date window at 6 o’clock provide a balanced look.

cosmetically the watch is in nice used condition. The case and clasp show light normal signs of wear, while the dial and crystal are very well presented. The original Longines alligator leather band is clearly worn and shows wear around the lugs and bending points.

Thanks to the transparent case back, the Longines L651.3 automatic chronograph movement is well visible. The timekeeping measurement of roughly +2 seconds per day, 303° amplitude and 0.0 ms beat error forms a very neat snapshot of the movement.
