* Brand: Cinzano Blanc, the white vermouth 

The CDC logo in the center is not a thermometer manufacturer.

It designates the Compagnie Dubonnet-Cinzano, created in 1954 when Dubonnet and Cinzano merged in France. Archives indicate that this company was active under this name in the 1950s–60s.

    The CDC later developed with other brands before the Pernod Ricard group took over.

* Function: it wasn’t simply a decorative poster. The panel served as a “price list for beverages” in establishments: the thermometer was integrated in the center.

Il désigne la Compagnie Dubonnet-Cinzano, créée en 1954 lors du rapprochement de Dubonnet et Cinzano en France. Les archives indiquent que cette société était bien active sous cette appellation dans les années 1950-60. 

    La CDC s’est ensuite développée avec d’autres marques avant le passage au groupe Pernod Ricard. 

* Fonction : ce n’était pas simplement une affiche décorative. Le panneau servait de « tarif des consommations » dans les établissements : le thermomètre était intégré au centre.
