Description from the seller
Natural Green Epidote – Badakhshan, Afghanistan
Offering a beautiful lot of 145 individual pieces of natural rough green Epidote, originating from the renowned Badakhshan mines of Afghanistan, with a total weight of 66 grams.
The lot displays an attractive natural green colour, a characteristic that makes green Epidote particularly appealing and relatively uncommon in the mineral and gemstone market. The pieces show excellent lustre and transparency, with many pieces displaying a lively appearance when viewed under light.
Among the 145 pieces are several naturally terminated Epidote crystals. These selected crystals have been photographed individually and included in the listing, allowing their natural crystal forms and terminations to be clearly appreciated.
A number of pieces also exhibit very good clarity and transparency, making them interesting candidates for cutting. Selected material has the potential to produce jewellery-size faceted gemstones, depending on the final orientation and cutting process.
