Description from the seller
Offered, without reserve price, this beautiful and remarkable four-part vintage reproduction of Metamorphose by the world-famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher (1898–1972).
This edition dates from 1972 and was published by G.W. Breughel in Hattem, Holland. The reproductions were printed in the Netherlands by Van Dooren B.V. in Vlaardingen.
The four separate parts together form the impressive, over 4 meters long artwork.
Metamorphose is one of Escher's best-known works. In the piece, geometric patterns, animals, architecture and other forms gradually flow into one another. The beginning and end interlock, creating a fascinating visual cycle that refers to infinity and eternity.
