The Golden Woman is the 20th Nero comic book story. The first nine classic adventures appeared under the title The Adventures of Detective Van Zwam. This album appeared under the definitive title The Adventures of Nero & Co which would be used until the last album. The series is drawn by comic artist Marc Sleen. Het Volk published pre-publications between April 9, 1954 and August 26, 1954. The story appeared in October 1954 in album form, and in 1963 and 1981 there were two reprints, each with a different cover.

Dit album verscheen onder de definitieve titel De avonturen van Nero & Co die tot het laatste album gebruikt zal worden. De reeks wordt getekend door striptekenaar Marc Sleen. Het Volk publiceerde voorpublicaties tussen 9 april 1954 en 26 augustus 1954. Het verhaal verscheen in oktober 1954 in album en in 1963 en 1981 verschenen er twee herdrukken met telkens een andere cover.
