AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique manually powered Singer Class 15 sewing machine from the early part of the last century, with a great many accessories.
Singer is the best-known sewing machine brand in the world. Since its founding in 1851, this American brand has been renowned for very high quality.
This machine is made of cast metal and sits on the original wooden baseplate.
It features the brand emblem with the text: The Singer Manfg.Co.
It is decorated with the iconic golden Sphinx pattern (also known as the Memphis or Egyptian decor).

What makes this particular specimen extra special and historically interesting is the metal plate on the wooden base. It bears the text: MACHINE MENDJAIT "SINGER" - SOEDAH DI BAJAR LOENAS.
This is Malay in the old spelling from the time of the Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia). Freely translated, it means: "Singer sewing machine - is fully paid off". At the time, these relatively expensive machines were often bought on installment through local Singer offices in the colony. Once the buyer had paid all installments, this official metal plate was mounted on the machine as proof of ownership.
Produced on September 7, 1928, this can be found on the website of the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society.

It is a very beautiful collectible or can be used as decoration.
The condition of the sewing machine is complete and authentic and shows normal age-related wear.
It comes with, among other things, the original wooden storage/protective case, the original Singer oil can, various feet (universal presser foot, hemming foot, bias/pleat foot, and ruffler foot), the original Singer needle box, the original English-language manual, and various needles.
Please examine the photos carefully for a good impression of the machine and all accessories.
