Plate - Porcelain

A fine and rare Chinese export porcelain plate, dating to the 18th century, Qianlong period, delicately decorated in grisaille and gilt with a central floral spray. The border is finely painted with trailing grapevines, leaves and gilt fruit, framed by a rich cobalt-blue band and gilt rim.

The restrained grisaille palette combined with gilding is characteristic of refined Chinese export porcelain made for the European market during the 18th century.

Condition:
Excellent overall condition, with only very minor age-related wear to the gilding. No significant damage noted.
