Pair of Hollóháza hand-painted porcelain figurines – Hungarian Folk Costume – 25 & 30 cm

Beautiful pair of vintage Hollóháza porcelain figurines, made in Hungary and entirely hand-painted.
The figures depict two women dressed in traditional Hungarian folk costumes, with richly decorated dresses, aprons, boots and finely painted details.
One figure is standing and measures approximately 30 cm high. The second figure is seated and measures approximately 25 cm high.
Both figurines are marked on the underside with the Hollóháza Hungary 1831 – Handpainted factory mark. Model/decor numbers 14 and 16 are visible.
The pair has a very decorative presence thanks to the relatively large size and the colourful traditional costumes. They display beautifully together and would suit a collection of Hungarian porcelain, European figurines or folk-art objects.
