German Miniature Silver Tray – 835 Silver – Chippendale Style – Germany – ca. 1930–1940
A charming miniature solid silver tray crafted in Germany during the 1930s–1940s, executed in the elegant Chippendale Revival style. The tray features a beautifully shaped octagonal outline with a stepped and moulded rim, inspired by the refined silver tableware of the 18th century. Its restrained yet sophisticated design makes it a versatile decorative object.
The underside bears the German Crescent Moon and Crown hallmark, together with the 835 silver standard, confirming its German origin and silver fineness. Miniature silver objects such as this were often made as collectors' pieces, dollhouse accessories, or elegant display items, and remain highly sought after today.
