Description from the seller
19th-Century Antique Side Table – Rich Wood Carving – Turned Legs
Beautiful and characterful antique little table, presumably dating from the late 19th century.
This decorative piece immediately stands out for its finely carved base with four richly turned legs, characteristic of the historicizing furniture art of the 19th century. The front crossbar features a graceful hand-carved ornament with stylized vine and leaf motifs.
The combination of the warm, well-worn wood, the artisanal turning technique, and the pronounced woodcarving gives the table a particularly decorative character.
With its compact size it is versatile as a hall table, side table, lamp table, or as a decorative piece in a classic, country, or eclectic interior.
An appealing object for lovers of 19th-century furniture art, traditional woodcarving, and characterful antique interiors.
Dating: circa 1880–1900
Style: historicizing / Victorian influence
The furniture is in a well-used condition with appropriate signs of age and wear. Please look carefully at the photos; they are an integral part of the description.
