Vintage wooden folding sewing table, sewing box trolley, 3-level cassette/ organizer for accessories or small items.
Mid-Century Modern 1950/60

Sewing table, the so-called needlecase, sewing box trolley from the Mid-Century Modern period, circa 1958-1965. It is a freestanding piece of furniture on four legs with original casters, which, when the top is opened, unfolds into a 3-level organizer for sewing tools and handcrafts. A very characteristic, light form with outward-angled legs and contoured sides - typical of Scandinavian and West German design from that period.

Construction details:
- Opening mechanism: two-stage, the top unfolds into two hinged trays. When lifted, the upper tray (3 compartments) and the middle tray (4 compartments) slide out automatically.
- Main compartment divided into 3 sections.
- Interior lined with original dark green felt.
- Original brass piano hinges and rolling casters.
- Solid wood and veneer most likely walnut, interior - light beech wood.

Condition:
Good vintage condition. The furniture is stable, all mechanisms functioning. Signs of use and patina appropriate for its age. Casters work.
