F&B - Working tool (3) Salvaged

Fascinating lot composed of 3 hand planes by a carpenter in solid wood, authentic work tools dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. This set represents a splendid testimony to traditional craftsmanship and carpentry before the advent of electric machinery. The lot comprises three distinct types of tools:
- Large Moulding Plane / Long Sponderuola (about 70–75 cm): Equipped with a protruding handle at the rear heel, used for creating large frames and profiles. It features on its wooden body a rare and sharp factory mark stamped in relief with the initials "F B" separated by a central stylized symbol (anchor/balance).
- Large Shoulder Plane (Banco) (about 60–65 cm): Characterized by the iconic closed horn handle, used to straighten and true the edges of long boards.
- Shaped Moulding Plane (about 20 cm): Compact tool with a sole of concave/convex profile, specific for finishing details, decorative mouldings or torus/bead profiles on panels and doors.
- Condition: The items present in original-found condition (original patina). The wood is solid and structurally intact, with the normal and fascinating signs of time, of prolonged workshop use and accumulations of vintage dust that certify authenticity. The metal irons and wooden wedges are still in their places. The blades show surface oxidation consistent with age, excellent for a conservative restoration project or for display in work-related collections, museums, or as industrial/rustic furniture elements.
