Description from the seller

A striking survivor of Kinoptik's legendary Apochromat line, the French cine optics collectors and working cinematographers still chase for their painterly rendering and razor sharp centre. This one wears the far rarer white barrel finish over a black rear mount, built for the Éclair Cameflex system, and presents in excellent optical condition throughout: clean, clear glass with smooth iris and focus action.

Look closely and you'll find something most listings never mention: this lens carries two focal-length markings — "F=28mm" on the aperture ring, and a distinct "f=29,9" etched beside the focus scale. That's not a mismatched part or an error it's a factory marking from Kinoptik's own factory specifications record. The Apochromat's true optical focal length as 29.9mm, with "28mm" kept only to line it up with the rest of the family. It's a detail almost no seller knows to point out, and a genuine mark of an unaltered, factory-original lens rather than a reground or later modified example.

Serial No. 48656, professional cine-style focus ring with mounting points for a focus lever, f/2–f/16, roughly 30mm image circle.

Kinoptik glass like this is still hunted down and rehoused for modern digital cinema cameras by working DPs chasing a character today's optics can't replicate. A genuinely uncommon piece of French cinema history ready for a collection or a camera.
