Refined and elegant jewelry box in wood veneered with maple burl, characterized by an unusual and particularly successful trapezoidal shape, an element that gives it a decisively original decorative presence.

The lid presents a wide surface composed of sections of burl carefully joined, whose lively natural marquetry creates splendid chromatic plays in warm honey and brown tones. The central panel is framed by a dark wooden rim, creating a refined contrast that further emphasizes the object's distinctive geometry.

The same precious burl covers the sides of the box, while the base and the protruding upper and lower frames, in a darker essence, give the structure an architectural and elegant appearance.

The interior is completely lined in red velvet, a classic and highly effective pairing with the warm tones of the wood. The bottom is protected by black felt, allowing the box to rest on delicate surfaces.

Particularly pleasing is the small lock with a molded key, still present and perfectly functioning: the box opens and closes regularly with its own key.

For construction features, choice of materials and aesthetic taste, the object can be traced to the tradition of elegant marquetry work from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with evident references to the Biedermeier style and the 19th-century fondness for figured burl.

It is in good overall condition for its age, with normal signs of wear and use. There are small defects, marks, slight losses and localized imperfections of the surface and wooden parts, clearly documented in the photographs. These elements do not compromise the solidity, functionality or the remarkable aesthetic impact of the piece and bear witness to its history.
