This exceptional Velier Royal Navy Very Old Rum was created by renowned master blender Luca Gargano as a tribute to the historic tradition of British Royal Navy rum. The blend brings together seven carefully selected rum marks distilled between 1990 and 2005 from three of the Caribbean’s most celebrated rum-producing countries: Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica.

At the heart of the blend is Caroni rum from Trinidad, tropically aged for more than 20 years, complemented by Demerara rum from Guyana aged in Europe for more than 15 years and Pure Single Rums from Jamaica tropically aged for more than 12 years. Together, these components result in a precisely stated weighted average age of 17.42 years.

Bottled at an impressive 57.18% ABV, the traditional British Navy Strength, this expression combines the powerful industrial character of Caroni with the deep, rich profile of mature Demerara and the aromatic, fruity intensity of Jamaican rum. The result is a remarkably complex and full-bodied blend, displaying layers of dark fruit, molasses, tropical fruit, liquorice, tobacco, leather, oak and warming spice, culminating in a long and powerful finish.

The involvement of the legendary Caroni Distillery, which ceased production in 2002, adds particular significance to this release. Combined with its mature Guyanese and Jamaican components and its association with Luca Gargano, the first edition has become an increasingly desirable bottling among collectors of rare Caribbean rum.

The bottle is in excellent condition and is accompanied by its original presentation box. The label, capsule and fill level are all well preserved, and the bottle has been carefully stored. It is offered exactly as shown in the accompanying photographs.
