In this listing a splendid, solid and historic Italian rangefinder compact camera with fake Galileo-like sight: the Ferrania Condoretta, designed and built in Florence by the famous Officine Galileo and distributed on the market by Ferrania from 1951.

The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and conservation coherent with the object's age, and it is complete with its original brown shaped rigid leather carrying case marked Ferrania.

Optics: The camera mounts the historic and renowned original fixed lens Officine Galileo Terog 1:4 f=4cm (40mm), composed of three elements treated with anti-reflective coating. As described, the lenses appear clean, transparent and completely free of scratches or traces of mildew and internal fungi. The diaphragm value engravings on the barrel and the front factory mark remain sharp and perfectly legible.

Mechanical: The integrated central mechanical shutter Aplon responds to commands and fires at the various speeds set. The front lever for manually cocking the shutter operates correctly and the top shutter release button responds with fluidity. The central peripheral ring dedicated to manual focus adjustment and the stops for selecting the diaphragms move smoothly.

Aesthetic: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The satin metal body and the top plate preserve a good overall appearance, showing normal signs of time and superficial handling along the edges. The original vulcanized black leatherette covering that wraps the body is fully preserved, without gaps or lifting.
