Voigtländer Bessa 6x9 folding medium‑format camera from the 1930s, with the original Voigtar 105mm f/6.3 lens, in good overall condition and tested and working, including the original leather carry case.
Description from the seller
In this listing we present an iconic, robust, and fascinating mid-format folding camera: the Voigtländer Bessa 6x9, produced in Germany by the prestigious Voigtländer in Braunschweig during the 1930s. This famous foldable model represents one of the most successful camera families in the history of European analog photography, designed to use 120 roll film to produce large, highly detailed 6x9 cm negatives.
The lot is offered in good general condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the age and history of the item, and is complete with its original leather carry case.
Lenses: The camera is equipped with the original fixed Anastigmat Voigtar 1:6.3 F=10.5cm (105mm) lens, a sharp optical design from the German house ideal for medium format. As described, the lenses show good visual condition, clean, and completely free of surface scratches or internal mold and fungi. The white identification inscriptions and the mark "Voigtländer - Braunschweig" on the front are perfectly sharp and clearly legible.
Mechanics: The central shutter responds to the controls and fires regularly at the various speeds selectable via the dedicated operating lever. The telescopic extension system of the bellows via the cords and metal pantographs opens smoothly and locks firmly in the working position without hesitation.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The body retains its original black textured covering with the name "Bessa" impressed in relief on the top, showing only light and normal signs of time and use. The black metal tensioners and external chrome components exhibit a subtle, attractive vintage patina that underscores its historical authenticity. The folding bellows is structurally intact and compact. The leather protective case shows the classic period abrasions and the signs of time passed over decades, yet retaining its old-time charm.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured, and professionally extra-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transit.
