Description from the seller
Up for auction: an extraordinary, fascinating, and extremely rare vintage folding-bellows pocket camera—the Murer Muro—produced in Italy by the prestigious Murer & Duroni of Milan during the 1920s (circa 1920–1925).
The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and conservation consistent with the object's well over a century of age, and it is complete with its original dark brown leather protective case.
Optics: The lenses appear in good visual condition, maintaining their original transparency and being entirely free of scratches or traces of mold and fungi internally; only a physiological dust particle consistent with the era is present.
Mechanical: The general mechanical function has not been verified for every single time-related component. As this is a precious piece mainly for collectors, the mechanisms move manually; the integrated central shutter responds to the mechanical shutter-release lever and the circular-dial aperture selector is movable.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The metal body coated in black faux leather preserves its original geometric lines well, showing only normal signs of aging and small superficial wear on the edges. The folding dark material bellows retains good structural compactness. The original vertical leather case with snap button shows the usual storage wear but preserves protective integrity.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
