Taino culture jadeite phallic scepter, 26.5 cm high, dating to the 10th–15th century AD, in excellent condition and authentic, acquired in 2025 from Casa de subastas in Germany from a private collection with a Dutch export permit.

Taino Jadeite Phallic Scepter – 10th to 15th Century AD
A finely carved Taino ceremonial scepter fashioned from jadeite in the form of a phallus, originating from the Dominican Republic and dating to the 10th to 15th Century AD. The elongated body displays a smooth, carefully worked surface with natural stone veining and areas of mineral concretions, consistent with prolonged burial. The upper section is modeled with pronounced anatomical features, while the lower part terminates in a rounded end. The surface preserves an aged archaeological appearance with earthy deposits and encrustations.

Dimensions: 26.5 cm height
Provenance: Acquired in Germany at an Auction House. Previously owned by a German gentleman, acquired in the 1980s, then by his descendants. With Dutch Export Permit.
