Jørgen Kastholm designed JK730 three-seater sofa for Kill International, Germany, dating from the late 1960s, in dark brown leather with a brushed flat steel frame, 220 cm long, 74 cm high, seat height 40 cm and 86 cm deep, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Beautiful, very high-end and comfortable Jørgen Kastholm model JK730 for Kill International three-seater sofa in dark brown leather and brushed flat steel, Germany late 1960s.
This unique and timeless design with the continuously chromed frame with runners and the thick, dark brown leather in impeccable condition. The slightly inclined seating position and the curved armrests make the chair incredibly comfortable.
The JK 730 series is particularly interesting because it is not as frequently seen as the famous FK 6725 Tulip Chair or the Grasshopper Chaise. It comes from Kastholm’s mature phase and nicely demonstrates the transition from classical Danish wooden design to an international, architectural language of form in steel and leather. As a result, it is less well known among collectors, but often especially valued for that reason.
