Lovely 19th-century oil on canvas depicting a mountainous landscape with fortifications, with a very beautiful sense of depth. It could be a Jura or Italian landscape.

The work is signed COROT and bears an old COROT label on the reverse.

On the reverse, several handwritten inscriptions that are difficult to read and an old sale or exhibition label bearing the name "Jean-Baptiste-Camille COROT"
