Old brass gilded Buddha Sculpture Teppanom guardian angel - Thailand- 20th century
On offer is a wonderful brass gilded two-tone color Teppanom guardian angel in great condition! The statue is in kneeling and praying position with palms pressed together. Teppanom are a mythological angel and part of the Buddhist tradition in Thailand. The Thepanom first came to earth when Buddha reached enlightenment and became Buddha's protector, then guardian of religious temples, and are seen as protectors of the house and land of the owner. Provenance: has been in our private collection since 1993.
Date: second half 20th century.
Size: Total height 19 cm.
Condition: Excellent! Has been in Show case for over 30 years. No damage!
