Half Penny coin minted for Jamaica under the authority of George V. The obverse shows the crowned bust of the monarch facing left, executed in a sober and realistic style characteristic of early 20th-century British numismatic art, surrounded by the legend bearing his imperial titles. The reverse presents the colonial shield of Jamaica with its heraldic elements, accompanied by the denomination HALF PENNY and the name of the colony. The specimen preserves an attractive original appearance with well-defined details in the portrait and shield, showing a uniform gray patina and traces of luster in the protected areas of the design. The light surface marks observed are compatible with its grade MS62. This issue belongs to the British colonial period and circulated in Jamaica shortly after World War I, constituting an interesting piece representing the imperial monetary system in the Caribbean.
