Vintage table lamp with a silvered metal greyhound, wood and leather – Spain, c. 1950.
Elegant figurative table lamp, probably of Spanish mid-20th century production, depicting a greyhound or hunting dog in motion over a relief-carved vegetative landscape.
The sculpture and the vertical support, worked in a bamboo-like manner, feature a silvered metallic finish and a patina. The figure sits mounted on an original oval wooden frame base, conceived like an old travel trunk or hatbox, decorated with a wide black leather strap and a metal buckle. It has an original or antique oval lampshade, lined with cream-colored fabric and finished with trim.
The combination of hunting theme, wood, leather and metal gives it an elegant aesthetic, close to the Country House style and mid‑century equestrian and hunting decor.
