In the Manner of Joaquin Sorolla “Spanish Post-Impressionist School early 20th century” Size 22 x 27 cm sell with frame 32 x 36 cm Spanish Coastal Scene – In the Manner of Joaquín Sorolla An evocative coastal composition depicting fishermen at work along the shoreline, rendered with vigorous, expressive brushwork and a luminous Mediterranean palette. The artist employs broad, spontaneous strokes and richly textured areas of pigment to capture the movement of the figures, the reflections of the sea and the intense coastal light. Warm ochres, oranges and earthy tones contrast beautifully with the turquoise and blue hues of the water, creating a vibrant and atmospheric scene. The subject matter, with working figures portrayed directly beside the sea, together with the emphasis on sunlight, colour and movement, recalls the celebrated Mediterranean compositions of Joaquín Sorolla (1863–1923).
