Antique Ebonized Wooden Pantry Cabinet – Renaissance Style – Late 19th / Early 20th Century
Important antique pantry cabinet made of ebonized wood, dating from the end of the 19th century / beginning of the 20th century, characterized by an imposing structure and a rich Renaissance-style decoration. The piece stands out for its entirely hand-carved workmanship, with ornamental motifs of great depth and extraordinary attention to detail.
The upper part is crowned by an elegant shaped pediment with a central raised oval element, flanked by rosettes and sculpted decorative motifs. The band below is enriched with continuous geometric and floral intaglios.
The central body features a large carved panel with confronting mythological figures and vegetal scrolls, framed by molded profiles. The base is composed of two large doors, each decorated with an important central high-relief mask, surrounded by rich foliate motifs and finely worked cornices.
