The Canon EF 24mm f/2.8, introduced in 1988, is the compact wide-angle prime of the original EF lens line. Its rear-focusing design keeps the front element from rotating, which suits polarising filters, and it is valued for sharpness and low distortion in a small, light barrel. It fits every Canon EOS film and digital SLR, and adapts to Canon mirrorless bodies.
