German Reisekamera 13x18cm Large format camera

I am offering here from my collection a very beautiful travel camera of German manufacture with an unnamed lens with an aperture from F8 to F64 for sale.

The camera features a high-quality wooden body (probably walnut) with brass fittings, blue-black bellows, a base plate and matte screen back, and a plate cassette. Externally and technically the camera is in very good condition. The wooden camera housing is, for its age, very well preserved. The blue linen bellows with black leather corners is also very well preserved and without cracks or damage. The ground glass is rather used and would need cleaning. The lens with an iris aperture F8-F64 is also in very good condition. The lens is relatively clean and clear with little dust ingress, and the iris diaphragm works perfectly. The assembled camera measures about 30x25x22 cm without the lens and weighs about 2288 g including the lens and cassette.

The camera, over about one hundred and twenty years old, is a truly exceptional and very beautiful collectible item! I particularly like the camera with the well-preserved wooden hull.
