Exquisite bistro-style bar cabinet from the French 80s. Made in cherry wood, with a zinc top, handrails and details in polished gilded brass and ornamental glass doors with the inscription “Bistrot de Paris.” We believe it may belong to Roche Bobois’ “Les Provinciaux” collection, one of the world’s most emblematic classic collections in luxury furniture. This collection was born in the 1980s with the aim of reinterpreting the charm of traditional French cabinetry and the Provencal classic aesthetic, offering a rustic, elegant, timeless style that fit the new homes and country houses of the era.
The Bistro style originated in small Parisian restaurants, cafes and taverns in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
