An authentic 19th-century Arabic-Ottoman gunpowder flask (powder horn), originating from the Yemen or Omani region. The body features the traditional, highly curved C-shape inspired by water buffalo horns, constructed from a combination of hardened leather and iron.The flask is extensively decorated with traditional hand-wrapped brass and copper wire bands, accented with stamped white-metal decorative rosettes typical of South Arabian ethnographic metalwork.
Condition: Fair to good antique condition with a natural, uncleaned patina appropriate for its age. The metalwork and wire wraps remain stable and secure. Please note that the brass pouring spout/nozzle at the top is missing (as shown in the photographs). The stand is not included.
