Renat Shuteev - Table lamp - Papier-mache, Oak, Walnut

Hand-carved solid oak sculptural lamp. The piece preserves a natural wood crack, stabilized by a walnut butterfly key. The organic curves and traces of time dialogue with the oak’s softness to create an object with a singular presence, between contemporary sculpture and the spirit of wabi-sabi.

The lampshade is handmade in paper mâché made from recycled fibers, offering a rough, mineral texture that contrasts with the wood’s softness. Its simple, organic form fits within an approach inspired by the aesthetics of wabi-sabi, where imperfection becomes a source of beauty.

A unique creation, straddling the line between functional object and contemporary sculpture.
