The work is framed within the European landscape tradition of the 20th century, with a clear influence from naturalist and impressionist painting. The atmospheric treatment of the sky, the vegetation rendered with loose brushstrokes, and the attention given to reflections on the water recall the evolution of European landscape painting after Impressionism, while maintaining a composition of a classical character. The presence of the stone bridge as a central architectural element reinforces the romantic and bucolic sense of the scene.

Waterfront landscape in which a river gently descends through an extensive area of vegetation. In the foreground stands a small stone bridge with several arches, whose structure is partially reflected on the water surface. On either side of the channel are groups of trees and shrubs in different green and ocher tones, while a row of stylized trees on the left adds verticality and depth to the composition.

The course of the river visually leads toward the background of the landscape, where the vegetation progressively diffuses under a broad sky covered with light clouds. The color palette is restrained and naturalistic, dominated by greens, bluish grays, earth tones, and soft yellows. The execution presents a visible, spontaneous brushstroke that helps convey a tranquil, rural atmosphere.

The work is presented with a dark brown wooden frame, of considerable width and composed of several stepped and fluted moldings. Its sober and classical design appropriately complements the traditional character of the landscape. It shows slight signs of use consistent with its age.
