Pentacon Pentaka 8 cine camera with a Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2/25 mm lens, in good cosmetic condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
A beautiful and authentic vintage Pentaka 8 cine camera, manufactured by Pentacon in the former East Germany (GDR), dating from the mid-20th century. The camera is fitted with the highly regarded Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2/25mm lens, making it an especially appealing piece for collectors of vintage photographic and cinematographic equipment.
The mechanical spring-wound motor is functional: it arms correctly and the shutter releases. The lens is clean and clear, with no visible dirt, mould or fungus, showing only minor signs of age and normal physical wear. The original film compartment and reels are present, preserving the camera’s authentic period character.
The camera has attractive natural patina and signs of use consistent with its age, without detracting from its collectible appeal. A distinctive and increasingly sought-after piece of East German photographic history, suitable for a collector, display or vintage camera enthusiast.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with visible cosmetic wear consistent with age. Mechanical operation tested as described above.
