Description from the seller
Vintage Bamboo and Reed Plant Stand / Basket / Vase – French Riviera Style, 1970s
A Timeless Elegant Touch of the French Riviera
We are pleased to present this splendid vintage piece of furniture, perfectly embodying the sophisticated and relaxed aesthetic of the French Riviera in the 1960s and 1970s. This storage cart is not merely a functional object, but a true statement piece that carries with it the warmth and charm of the Mediterranean.
Design and Craftsmanship:
Masterfully crafted, the piece features a sturdy frame made of thick natural bamboo canes. The main body is characterized by refined panel work with reed (or rattan) slats arranged diagonally, creating a geometric pattern that catches the light and adds visual dynamism. The intricate wicker-binding details at the corners attest to the quality craftsmanship typical of the era.
Style and Aesthetics:
This piece epitomizes the "Tropical Chic" or "Riviera Style," made famous by design icons such as Gabriella Crespi or by high-end productions from companies like Bonacina and Dal Vera. The warm hue of aged bamboo pairs perfectly with refined bohemian interiors, seaside homes, or to add an organic, Mid-Century touch to a modern space.
Dimensions: Width 40 cm | Height 50 cm
Design: Inspired by the elegance of the French Riviera, versatile for outdoor and indoor use
Durability: Durable material, weather and UV-proof
Use: Ideal for decorative plants, seasonal flowers, or small shrubs
