Beautiful glove holder or jewelry box, circa 1800, surface-top style, upper panel in solid burl wood with a central ornament, underside wood with burl veneer and fine inlay of lighter woods; at the center a drawer, also inlaid, with a paper lining interior, brass knob. Feet for resting are present.
Good condition, normal small signs, note the burl grain on the top (a normal defect given the material).

Bellissimo portaguanti o portagioie, fine 1800, da appoggio, piano superiore in massello di radica con decoro al centro, sotto legno con lastronatura in radica e fine intarsio di essenze più chiare, a centro cassettino sempre intarsiato con rivestimento interno in carta, pomello in ottone. Presenti piedini per l'appoggio.
Buone condizioni, normali piccoli segni, si segnala venatura della radica sul piano (normale difetto dato dal materiale).
