The Octopus Stool is part of a series of furniture that reflects the significance of the ecological crisis and its connection to the oceans.

All eight legs of the stool are shaped in a different way. It is handcrafted from oak solid timber and treated with hardwax oil. The top measures 28 cm in diameter. Two of the images show other pieces of the collection.

The stool in the auction is a unique piece and only exists once.

Seller's Story

Florian Artmann is a designer maker working and living in Munich, Germany. After an apprenticeship in carpentry in Munich, he studied Product-and Furniture Design in London. Starting his own studio in 2005 he designs and makes shop interiors, furniture and other objects. Recently the designs developed in an elaborate direction exploring the boundaries between art and design. His work was exhibited internationally.
