Magnificent silver tetradrachm, circa 454–404 BC.
Avers: helmeted head of Athena to the right, the eye represented facing forward. She wears an Attic crested helmet, adorned with olive leaves and a palmette; earring and necklace.

Revers: owl standing to the right, head facing forward; in the left field, olive branch and crescent; to the right, ΑΘΕ. All within a recessed square.

Athena's portrait is particularly expressive and preserves fine details. Reverse well legible with the owl, olive branch and the legend ΑΘΕ clearly visible. Cracks present as a result of striking characteristic of this coinage.

Mangifique tétradrachme en argent, vers 454–404 av. J.-C.
Avers : tête casquée d’Athéna à droite, l'œil représenté de face. Elle porte un casque attique à cimier, orné de feuilles d'olivier et d'une palmette ; boucle d'oreille et collier.

Revers : chouette debout à droite, tête de face ; dans le champ à gauche, rameau d'olivier et croissant ; à droite, ΑΘΕ. Le tout dans un carré creux.

Le portrait d'Athéna est particulièrement expressif et conserve de beaux détails. Revers bien lisible avec chouette, rameau d'olivier et légende ΑΘΕ nettement visibles. Fissures présentent suite à la frappe caractéristiques de ce monnayage
