Description from the seller
IN HIGHLIGHT:
• Car with original Italian first registration plates and documents, Rome
• Underwent restoration about 10 years ago and kept in a garage
• Two-tone white/black interior with new seat coverings
• Equipped with an 80s-era car radio mounted in the dash
• Delivered with a valid service booklet and regular periodic inspection
HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
The Fiat 600 D, introduced in the early 1960s as an evolution of the famous small car designed by Dante Giacosa, stands as one of the most authentic symbols of the Italian economic miracle. Characterized by a compact two-door body and a rear, water-cooled four-cylinder engine, the D version benefited from an increased displacement to 767 cc to ensure better torque and urban usability. This 1963 example preserves its original identity thanks to the black plates with the “Roma” prefix and the original paperwork. Carefully cared for by the owner and always stored indoors in a garage, the car was restored about a decade ago and has been used solely for gatherings and vintage car events. It has never been involved in accidents or collisions.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
The bodywork presents in generally good condition, with white paint well preserved and bright. The structure shows no signs of penetrating rust, and the floors and sills remain intact. Only a small surface imperfection/defect is noted on the driver's side door. The glass, hubcaps, and exterior finishes are in order.
INTERIORS:
The cabin is finished with coordinated two-tone white and black synthetic upholstery across the front seats, rear bench, and door panels, recently installed and free of tears. The color-matched dashboard is well preserved with the original white two-spoke steering wheel, functional central instruments, and an period-correct radio mounted on the lower part of the dash. The flooring with black rubber mats and the rear compartment are in order.
MECHANICS:
The 767 cc engine and the overall mechanicals are perfectly running and ready for road use. The car was recently checked at a specialized workshop, which confirmed a clean engine bay with no leaks or seepage of fluids. The car is delivered with a valid service record and periodic inspection.
DOCUMENTS:
Car equipped with original Italian plates from the Rome province and the original registration document/logbook.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
