This model represents a true rarity and a high-caliber collectible piece, characterized by the unusual and fascinating date window positioned at 12 o’clock, topped by the winged hourglass logo.

The Movement (In-House Caliber): The heart of this timepiece is the legendary Longines Caliber 341 automatic movement with 17 jewels. This movement is famous among enthusiasts for its ingenious and refined eccentric rotor winding system guided by a peripheral gear rack. The serial number engraved on the bridge (11,729,583) places the production of this specific mechanism exactly in 1961. The movement presents itself visually clean and in excellent cosmetic condition.

The Case and Caseback (Ref. 3407): The case, with a 35 mm diameter, classic for the era, is entirely made in solid 18 kt gold. The interior of the caseback bears the splendid original perlage finish and is richly stamped with the official marks of the Swiss manufacture: the model reference 3407, the Flagship signature in script, the inscription Fab. Suisse / Swiss Made and the 18K gold hallmarks (0.750) accompanied by the official Swiss head/Helvetia watch hallmark. The outer caseback is originally smooth and polished, ensuring a slender profile and great wrist comfort.

Dial and Details: The original dial features a beautiful sunburst silver finish that magnificently catches the light. The hour markers and baton hands are gold-toned and applied. To complete the absolute coherence and originality of the piece, the watch is fitted with its original, era-appropriate fluted winding crown, with the Longines raised lettering arranged in a circle, and a domed exalite (plexiglass) crystal in excellent condition.
