Description from the seller
“The Silence of Silk” XL is a visual artwork by Nik Haku that explores identity through the quiet ritual of the geisha. Framed in stillness, the figure becomes a meeting point between tradition, beauty, and the self hidden beneath ceremony. The crimson kimono, delicate ornaments, and composed gaze speak of a world where every gesture carries meaning, while silence becomes its most powerful language.
Artist’s statement:
This piece reflects on the idea of identity as something carefully constructed and quietly preserved. The geisha is not portrayed as an object of beauty, but as a presence shaped by ritual, discipline, and time. Silk becomes a metaphor for the layers we wear to move through the world—beautiful, protective, and sometimes difficult to separate from who we truly are.
Artwork details:
• Limited Edition: 1/10
Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Premium Silk Paper and is sold unframed.
Its elegant finish and subtle texture lend a sophisticated appearance, with vibrant, rich colors. The paper’s natural resistance also helps protect the print from fingerprints and scratches.
Each piece is individually numbered and signed, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is carefully rolled, packaged, and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Spain to destinations worldwide.
About the artist:
I’m Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered.
My practice blends multiple techniques —primarily fine art photography, complemented by painting— to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
