Description from the seller
Miniature Silver First Holy Communion Picture Frame – Chalice and Cross – 5 × 3.5 cm
Description
A charming miniature silver picture frame featuring a beautifully embossed representation of a chalice surmounted by a cross, traditional symbols of the Christian Eucharist and First Holy Communion.
The rectangular frame is decorated with a raised chalice and cross motif, set against a polished silver background and surrounded by a delicate moulded border.
Its small dimensions and religious symbolism suggest that it may originally have been intended as a commemorative gift for a First Holy Communion or another important religious occasion.
The reverse features a wooden backing and a small silver-coloured support, allowing the frame to be displayed upright.
The support bears an engraved maker's inscription, apparently reading "Valenti & Co."
A delightful piece of religious silverware, particularly appealing to collectors of miniature silver objects, devotional items and traditional Christian memorabilia.
Its compact size and refined decoration make it an attractive addition to a private collection or a charming decorative object for a desk, cabinet or display shelf.
