Description from the seller
Up for auction: a classic and fascinating vintage bellows medium-format camera: the Agfa Billy, produced in Germany by Agfa Camera-Werk in Munich between the 1930s and the 1950s.
The lot is presented in excellent overall condition and is fully functional, complete with its original Agfa Agnar lens and the top handle.
Optics: The lenses are in excellent preservation, completely free of surface scratches or traces of internal mold and fungi. The metric markings and the inscriptions on the optical body remain sharp and perfectly legible.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is functional. The original mechanical central shutter Vario responds correctly to the controls, firing regularly at the speeds set on the upper dial.
Aesthetics: Excellent overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid metal body preserves its original and stylish black finish very well, showing only minimal and negligible signs of superficial wear. The covering is perfectly intact and the unmistakable diamond-shaped "Agfa" emblem stamped on the upper front remains well defined.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professional super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transit.
