Siemens - Analogue telephone - Bakelite - Vintage phone

Vintage Siemens black bakelite desk telephone – 1940s/1950s

Splendid rotary dial telephone with selector produced by Siemens (Milano), entirely made of black bakelite with the characteristic glossy finish typical of the era. The piece retains all its original components: handset with microphone capsule and earpiece, numbered exchange dial from 0 to 9 perfectly functioning to the touch, rectangular base with a cover for the phone number label, and the original fabric cord.

The bakelite shows the typical patina from time and use, with some signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece (small surface scratches and a slight defect on the edge of the dial, visible in the photos), which do not compromise its aesthetics or structural solidity. The Siemens Milano mark is still clearly readable on the handset.

An industrial design object that perfectly embodies the functional aesthetics of mid-20th-century Italian/European telephony: perfect as a collectible item, a vintage/industrial style furnishing complement, or as a gift for modernity enthusiasts.
