- Year: 1967.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: DEUTSCHE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK · 10 MDN · 1967. Reverse: KÄTHE KOLLWITZ · 1867-1945.

Silver commemorative coin minted in Berlin to celebrate the centennial of Käthe Kollwitz's birth. The reverse shows a portrait of Kollwitz looking left, in an expressionist style with strong sculptural modeling, designed by Axel Bertram and Gerhard Rommel. The piece preserves very sharp relief, intense silver gloss and especially clean fields, with minimal surface marks compatible with the high grade MS66. The issue commemorates one of the most prominent figures of German social art, known for her depictions of poverty, war and human suffering; her catalogued mintage was 61,940 copies.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or within the EU that has a special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped at your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
