ICA Cupido 620 folding stereoscopic camera, in good vintage condition and tested and working, produced in Germany by ICA of Dresden in the early 1910s, with its original top handle, paired Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:6.5 f=6.5 cm lenses, and a mechanically functional Compund central shutter.
Description from the seller
Here is a splendid, rare and historically valuable folding stereo camera: the ICA Cupido 620, produced in Germany by the renowned ICA in Dresden in the early 1910s.
The lot is presented in generally good vintage condition, with normal signs of use and preservation coherent with the object's over-a-century age, and it is complete with its original top handle bearing the engraving "Cupido 620".
Optics: The camera is equipped with its original paired stereo lenses coupled Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:6.5 f=6.5 cm. The lenses show no deep scratches or mold traces; only the normal, widespread and light vintage patina due to time, entirely physiological for a piece of this age.
Mechanics: The lot mechanically functions. The vintage Compound central shutter responds to manual commands, firing regularly at the speeds set by the knurled top ring. The front panel releases correctly and the nickel-plated metal-truss telescopic system allows smooth extension of the bellows until the end-stroke stop.
Aesthetics: Good general vintage condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The outer case retains its original black leather covering which bears the elegant oval "ICA" logo. It shows the classic signs of time and superficial handling along the outer edges.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally ultra-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
