Description from the seller
Old Coca-Cola siphon bottles. Coca-Cola Andy Warhol bottles (originally designed in 1962) and Roy Lichtenstein Coca-Cola Pop Art siphon in blue. Enjoy the photographs to understand the beauty of these siphons; they feature black taps or heads from the brand Carbónicas Espumosos La Pitusa, the most sought-after—a beauty with many years of age, in good condition for collectors and decoration. Seltzer water. They may have light scuffs or small glass flaws.
ANDY WARHOL (1928–1987). His Life: Born in Pittsburgh as Andrew Warhola, he began working as a successful advertising illustrator in New York before leaping to the art galleries. He was the undisputed guru of Pop Art and founded the famous studio The Factory, a gathering place for artists, musicians and celebrities. Warhol removed the boundary between commercial art and the fine arts by portraying everyday objects (such as Campbell’s soup cans or soft drink bottles) and celebrities (such as Marilyn Monroe) through industrial reproduction processes. His premise about Coca-Cola was democratic: "A Coca-Cola is a Coca-Cola, and no amount of money can get you a better one than the one the bum on the corner is drinking." He died suddenly in 1987 after a routine surgical operation.
Roy Lichtenstein (1923–1997) Born in New York, he was an American painter, sculptor and graphic artist. After an early phase close to abstract expressionism, in the early 1960s he revolutionized the art scene by redefining comic strip and commercial advertising images as "high art". His aim was to critically analyze how the media and mass production transformed emotions and contemporary culture. He died at 73, established as a fundamental pillar of modern art.
COCA COLA: A carbonated soft drink sold worldwide in stores, restaurants and vending machines in more than two hundred countries or territories. It is the main product of The Coca-Cola Company, of American origin. In the beginning, when the pharmacist John Stith Pemberton invented it, it was conceived as a patented medicinal beverage, though subsequently it was acquired by entrepreneur Asa Griggs Candler, who made the drink one of the most consumed in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
