──────────────────
Case
The characteristic tonneau-shaped case is made of polished stainless steel and has a width of 33 mm.
Because of the elongated shape, the watch visually appears larger than a traditional round watch with the same width. The sides are slightly curved and blend smoothly into the bracelet.
The polished surfaces show light hairlines and minor signs of wear. Along the sides and edges of the case there are locally small scratches. There are no noticeable deep dents.
──────────────────
Dial
The black dial has a subtle, fine texture that becomes more apparent depending on the angle of light.
Large silver-toned Roman numerals define the classic character of the dial. Along the outer edge runs a geometrically shaped minute scale that follows the tonneau shape of the case.
In the center are two polished feuille hands for hours and minutes. At 12 o’clock are the LONGINES inscription and the winged sandglass logo, with AUTOMATIC beneath.
The dial presents itself neatly and the inscriptions and hour markers are clear and easy to read.
──────────────────
Small seconds
At 6 o’clock there is a separate small seconds subdial.
This subdial has a 60-second scale and a fine concentric finish. The small seconds form a vertical accent with the date window in the lower portion of the dial.
──────────────────
Date
Directly beneath the small seconds is the rectangular date window.
The date is shown in black on a light background. By placement at 6 o’clock, the dial remains visually symmetrical.
──────────────────
Movement
The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical Longines movement.
Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds and date
Frequency: 28,800 A/h
Winding: automatic, with option for manual winding
The seconds display is housed in the separate subdial at 6 o’clock; the watch therefore has no central seconds hand.
──────────────────
Timegrapher measurement
Rate deviation: -11 seconds per day
Amplitude: 285°
Beat error: 0.2 ms
Lift angle: 52.0°
Frequency: 28,800 A/h
The measured deviation is about -11 seconds per day in the tested position.
These values are a snapshot in the measured position and do not constitute a guarantee of daily accuracy, service state, or future technical condition of the movement.
──────────────────
Crystal
The watch is equipped with curved sapphire crystal that follows the shape of the tonneau case.
The crystal is clear and provides good visibility of the dial. No noticeable heavy damage is visible.
──────────────────
Crown
On the right side is the grooved crown with Longines marking.
The crown shows visible signs of wear and scratches on the polished surface. These marks are more noticeable than on some other parts of the case and are consistent with regular use.
──────────────────
Case back
The solid stainless steel back is secured with four screws.
Center features the classic Longines Evidenza motif, including the winged hourglass logo, along with the following markings:
Longines evidentia
ALL STAINLESS STEEL
SWISS MADE
WATER-RESISTANT
The back has a brushed finish and shows normal signs of wear and fine scratches.
──────────────────
Stainless steel bracelet
The watch is fitted with a finely linked stainless steel Longines bracelet. The bracelet consists of multiple narrow polished links and ends so that it sits flush against the tonneau case.
The bracelet shows light to normal signs of wear and fine hairlines, especially on the highly polished parts.
The current configuration measures approximately 17–18 cm on the fitting wedge.
──────────────────
Clasp
The stainless steel bracelet is equipped with a Longines-signed folding clasp.
Both the LONGINES inscription and the winged hourglass logo are present on the clasp. The clasp shows light superficial scratches and normal signs of wear.
──────────────────
Water resistance
The Evidenza is factory-rated as water-resistant. For a used watch of this age, the current water resistance should not be considered guaranteed.
For use in or around water, an up-to-date pressure test is recommended.
──────────────────
