Description from the seller

Center-Stage Representation Table in Mahogany with French Red Marble

Important center-stage representation table, crafted in mahogany and dating from the late 19th century. The piece is distinguished by its richly sculpted structure and the imposing circular top in French Red Marble, characterized by a vivid red tone with intricate veins and natural white and gray inclusions.

The base features a robust fluted central column, enriched by elaborate carved wooden elements. Particularly notable are the finely carved zoophoric figures that unfold around the central support, with heads carved, volutes, and plant motifs that give the table a strong decorative impact. The base opens into multiple contoured rests, maintaining solid and balanced proportions relative to the wide upper surface.

The lower rail in mahogany, with a clean circular line, creates an elegant contrast with the richness of the base sculptures and with the intense coloration of the marble. A piece with great scenographic presence, designed for placement in the center of a room and particularly suitable for prestigious environments, large lobbies, salons, or reception rooms.
